Having an internship at Puma Growth Partners has been an incredible experience. From the first day, I felt welcomed and valued as a team member. To start off a special thank you to both my manager, Emily Bourne, who despite her busy schedule, always made time to support me by sharing her knowledge generously and helping me settle in seamlessly as well as my buddy Ted Tavendale who was always a call away for support and to ask any questions.

During my time with Puma Growth Partners, I was fortunate to be exposed to so many types of deals. I had the opportunity to organise and participate in calls with founders, write investment papers, and present them to the team. These experiences significantly enhanced my presentation, communication, and analytical skills.

There were many highlights throughout the internship:

• Engaging directly with founders
• Attending networking events
• Attending London Tech Week
• Visiting the Manchester office
• Rounders at the summer party.

Reflecting on my time here Pumas' values respect, value creation, collaboration, and aspiration were evident in the day-to-day workings of the team. In particular, the spirit of collaboration stood out. The culture and structure Rupert has implemented in the team always promotes open dialogue and contribution from everyone which has cultivated a strong and high-performing team dynamic.

As an intern, I felt the impact of this culture and learning every day. As I move forward in my career, I’m truly grateful to the Puma Growth Partners team for the knowledge, guidance, and support they provided. I’ve seen firsthand how powerful a strong and positive culture can be in driving a team forward.

A heartfelt thank you to Rupert, for giving me the opportunity to extend my internship to learn as much as possible. I also want to thank the exceptional individuals I worked with Emily, Ted, Charlotte, Henri, Kelvin, Ryan, Ben, Sam, Mark, Chloe, Darius and everyone else at Puma Capital Group. Whether in one-on-one conversations or a teams meetings, every interaction was insightful and meaningful.
