"I've always had an interest in real estate, and I think it is one of the most accessible industries for people to understand: almost everyone either rents a property or owns a property, and if you can understand the economics of that, you can understand the fundamentals of the real estate industry."
"As Managing Director of Puma Property Finance (PPF), I am responsible for the leadership of the business, which encompasses setting and implementing strategy, as well as day-to-day oversight of the team and business performance. I'm also the CFO of the Puma Capital Group and a member of the Puma Capital Group Board.
I am a Chartered Accountant and began my career working across audit, and corporate finance, with an increasing focus on real estate at BDO. In 2008 I joined FTSE 100 industrial and logistics property developer and investor SEGRO plc as Financial Controller before moving to Capita Real Estate & Infrastructure, providing real estate management and advisory services to large institutional real estate investors.
I joined Puma in 2014 as CFO when the company was in its early stages, and I enjoyed the challenges and rewards of helping it grow into the business it is today. In 2022 I also became MD of Puma Property Finance, which has allowed me to develop further my interest in and passion for the real estate industry. I'm excited to keep building Puma Property Finance as a lender of choice, working closely with our developers and institutional partners.
I'm proud that at Puma Property Finance, we prioritise financing projects supporting essential social infrastructure. I'm ambitious about Puma contributing practically to create lasting change that benefits society."
What gets him up in the morning
"I'm driven by a desire to help Puma succeed as a business, in terms of commercial performance, but equally importantly by delivering value for all our people and the wider community. I believe we hare responsible for using the opportunity that has been presented to us, not just for our interests, but for the betterment of others as well."
When he's not at work
"My time is split between spending time with my daughter and son, reading up on history and politics, visiting the theatre and trying to play golf. I'm also a season ticket holder at Harlequins rugby and an occasional karaoke king – classic rock is my chosen genre, but the jury is very much out with my kids!"
